Governance of Support in Mind Scotland
Support in Mind Scotland is the operating name of NSF (Scotland), a registered charity led by its members. The organisation is also a Company Limited by Guarantee.
The constitution provides for a Management Board of up to 16 elected members. A majority of the elected members must be close relatives of people with schizophrenia or other serious mental illness and the Chair must be a close relative.
The Board meets at least six times per year.
Three standing sub Committees cover Public Affairs, Finance and Operations. All meet according to a pre-agreed timetable and report regularly to the Board.
