Anyone wishing to contribute to the content of the ‘discussion’ area of the website – a registered user - must be a member or an associate member of Support in Mind Scotland. Full membership is available to individuals living in Scotland, or supporting someone who lives in Scotland. Associate membership is available to any other individuals who do not fall into this category. To find out more about the benefits of joining Support in Mind Scotland (which extend beyond your ability to contribute to the discussion area) please check the membership area of the website.
To join Support in Mind Scotland, or to become an associate member, you should e-mail membership@supportinmindscotland.org.uk .
We are currently reviewing how to make this process simpler, quicker and online, but in the meantime you will be asked in the response to your e-mail to complete and return paper copies of membership forms to our National Office. Once these have been completed, returned and processed you will be issued with your password. For this to be processed, you will have to provide personal information such as your e-mail address, name and postal address. Please note that although we will need your real name to process your membership/associate membership, your website user ID can be different from your real name and website users will not be able to identify you on the website.
If you do not wish to provide these personal details, you will not be able to join as a member on an associate member. You will be able to read the discussion area but you will not be able to contribute.
