Companas Outreach Service - Alness

Companas Cottage Outreach service operates in Easter Ross. Our Outreach Worker can offer support on a one-to-one, in your home or elsewhere, or group basis at one of our twice-weekly drop-in groups held in Dingwall.

Much of our work is to ensure that people have the necessary information needed to have choices and make decisions about their lives. We also hope to ensure that there is support available to see these decisions through.

You can expect our Outreach Worker will:

• carry out an initial assessment with you
• establish and agree with you the support identified
• establish your own personal plan
• visit you at the agreed time (if your Outreach Worker is unable to keep an appointment with you, they will contact you at the earliest opportunity and arrange an alternative time with you)
• regularly review any support you require with you
• accept and respect your decision to stop support if you wish.

We may help you to contact and get support and advice from other agencies such as health services, legal and advice services, local authority social work, housing and benefit services. We work with people helping and supporting in, for example developing and building your own networks of support; building relationships with other people; gaining the confidence to access local community resources, training and employment opportunities; self-awareness and esteem building and accessing specialist/appropriate advice, etc.

Companas Outreach Service is registered with the Care Commission who regularly inspect the service to ensure we meet the national standards.
