General Infomation
The multi award-winning Life Skills Project is a vocational service that provides learning opportunities for people aged 16 to 65 with a diagnosis of mental illness.
We accept referrals from the Community Mental Health Teams and other allied health professionals.
Learning takes place in groups or on a one-to-one basis, in a way which is relaxed, informal and fun.
The aim of all our courses is to enhance quality of life and promote social interaction, while also increasing the confidence, self-esteem and independence of learners.
All courses have elements of literacy and/or numeracy embedded.
What we offer
These groups are aimed at improving, or in many cases rediscovering skills that allow those taking part to lead a more active and worthwhile role in society. Skills such as computing, problem solving, decision making and expressing ideas and opinions are all embedded into groups that allow people to be creative and imaginative, as well as having some fun along the way.
