Congratulations to our Local Hero in the Riding of the Royal Mile

Cathy Hamilton, Support in Mind Scotland's Tayside Carers Support Project, is taking part in the Riding of the Royal Mile with Shona Robison, Dundee East MSP, as part of the ceremonial Opening of the Fourth Session of the Scottish Parliament on Friday 1st July 2011.

Shona Robison selected Cathy as her 'Local Hero'. The MSPs selected their 'Local Hero' for outstanding record of service to the local community.

The procession will progress down the Royal Mile and past the front of the Parliament where, in the Chamber, Her Majesty The Queen will address newly elected Members of the Scottish Parliament and invited guests.
