After 2 fantastic years in Glasgow, this September we bring the laughter to Edinburgh with our 3rd annual comedy fundraiser!

SiMS ambassador Gary Little is a regular headliner at the UK's top comedy clubs, and we're delighted to announce he's signed up our comedy gig for the third year running. Our event will follow hot on the heels of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Gary's 2018 Fringe show is called Big Mouth and he will be at The Beehive (Venue 178) in the Grassmarket at 6.30 each night between 3-27 August.

He also is a supporter of our 100 Streets Challenge and helped launch the campaign for 2018 - you can also see his video in support of the campaign here. Regarded as a master storyteller, his act is probably summed up best by this quote from The Scotsman, “Might look as though he could tear the head off a pitbull while cracking walnuts with his eyelids, but is, on stage, warm to the point of endearing… This man is a born raconteur”

Joining Gary are the brilliant Gus LymburnGareth Mutch and Megan Shandley!

Our host for the night, and returning for the second time for us, is the fantastic Chris Forbes, star of Scot Squad. Chris has gigged extensively worldwide, has supported Kevin Bridges on tour, and is prominent on tv and radio. One of Scotland's most in-demand comics and described as 'a natural comedian' by the Herald, we're delighted to have him back.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the show will begin at 8.30pm. To ensure all ticket money comes directly to Support in Mind Scotland, The Stand are not taking advance payments for this show. Tickets are £10 payable cash at the door and can be reserved by calling their Box Office on 0141 558 7272. Alternatively you can buy tickets directly from us, priced at £10, or £5 if you access one of our services. Please phone us if you'd like more information on 0131 662 4359. With this lineup, it's more than likely the gig will sell out so if don't wait too long to purchase tickets!

Our event will follow hot on the heels of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where you'll be able to almost all our lineup in their very own shows. Gary Little's 2018 Fringe show is called Big Mouth and he will be at The Beehive (Venue 178) in the Grassmarket at 6.30 each night between 3-27 August. Chris Forbes brings Prophecy to the Gilded Balloon Teviot (Venue 14), between August 1st -27th (not the 13th). Tolerate by Megan Shandley (sharing the bill with Joe McTernan) comes to Nightcap - Feed (Venue 383) on the 2nd to the 26th and Gareth Mutch brings Gareth Mutch: Wants Mutch More to the Gilded Balloon Rose Theatre - Attic (Venue 76) from the 1st-27th.
