Support in Mind Scotland's 100 Streets Challenge has been given a miniature makeover and will feature throughout August in a stunning new LEGO® exhibition at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Teresa and Warren Elmore, a renowned LEGO® artist, decided to pay tribute to our new mental health awareness campaign in their exhibition after reading the touching stories of Support in Mind Scotland ambassadors Jenny and Scott Hastings, who launched the 100 Streets Challenge in July.

At the launch Jenny spoke courageously of her experience of living with episodes of mental ill health, and together with husband Scott - a Grand Slam winner with Scotland in 1990 - they have inspired a brilliant response from the public to our campaign, which encourages people to walk, run or cycle 100 streets to raise mental health awareness.

Now Scott and Jenny have been turned into LEGO® mini-figures and will feature in Brick City - the Backstage Tour, which will run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 4-25 August (from 10am-6pm) at Riddle's Court (venue 277).

The exhibition and design workshop tour is set to draw thousands of LEGO® fans and offers enthusiasts young and old a unique opportunity to watch Warren and his team in action as they bring their workshop on tour for the first time.

It will provide a behind the scenes insight into the creation of a LEGO® cityscape including working models, famous buildings and popular LEGO®  characters.

The event will feature a fantastic City diorama including historic buildings from Edinburgh’s Old Town, as well as more contemporary features such as the airport and an illuminated fairground.

The Show is anticipated to draw the largest Fringe crowds ever to Riddle’s Court which will have just re-opened following a £6 million restoration by Scottish Historic Buildings Trust.  Situated on the Lawnmarket near Edinburgh Castle, it is the oldest tenement in Edinburgh and has a long history as a Fringe venue. Maggie Smith and Stephen Fry both played to audiences at Riddle's Court early in their careers.

Scott and Jenny were at Riddle's Court this week to meet their miniature selves and they gave the exhibition a resounding thumbs-up. For tickets and for further information please click HERE
