SUPPORT IN Mind Scotland were proudly represented earlier this month at The Great Women's 10k run in Glasgow. Carol Goodwin, herself from Glasgow, chose to run for us in memory of a late friend who battled with ill mental health and has so far raised £270, smashing the original £100 target.

Over 6000 women took part in the event on June 5th, taking in some of the best scenery Glasgow has to offer including; Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow University, the Riverside Museum and the SSE Hydro before finishing at Kelvingrove Park.

Despite carrying a recurring injury which flared up at the beginning of the race, Carol displayed bags of grit and determination in continuing, especially considering the oppressive heat which at one point reached a sweltering 24°C!
