Support in Mind Scotland were delighted to deliver one of our mental health training sessions to the Scotland Women's Hockey team.

Jen Wilson, Senior Women's Head Coach, said: "The Scotland Women's Hockey Team were delighted to join up with the charity 'Support in Mind Scotland' to take part in a taster session on mental health. The players gained understanding of what mental health is, and how to build safe and supportive conversations, apply some 'top tips' and also worked through individual action plans.

"At a time where friends, family and teammates need more support than ever it was very useful for the players to learn new skills and develop their understanding of mental health and supporting each other's wellbeing.

"We are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity and I wouldn't hesitate to encourage people to head to their website to see the support that is available."

Support in Mind Scotland offers a range of specialist mental health training packages built on the belief that mental health awareness is a key element in establishing a flourishing group or workplace.

Training people in mental health can help to break down stigma and discrimination, build awareness, develop skills and enhance confidence.

Our range of mental health training packages aim to develop participants' knowledge so that they can provide support to team-mates and colleagues and offer pathways to getting the help they may need.
