SUPPORT in Mind Scotland's new summer 1 in 100 Fundraising and Awareness Campaign officially launches today - Sunday, 3 July - and will run for 100 days, concluding on World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

We hope we can count on your support to make the 1 in 100 Campaign a great success and allow us to promote and deliver crucial mental health services across Scotland.

Already, we have a number of events planned throughout the 100 days, and we hope you can rise to the challenge and come up with a fundraising challenge either as part of a group or as an indvidual. Perhaps you could also persuade a friend or family member to take part too.

The campaign will get off to an exciting start on Monday when former Scotland rugby international and British and Irish Lion, Scott Hastings, launches our 1 in 100 Running and Walking Challenge at our resource centre in Edinburgh, The Stafford Centre.

We would like people to pledge to either walk or run 100 miles in 100 days, or perhaps run 100 streets in 100 days - as Scott has volunteered to do. You can join in the challenge by calling us on 0131 662 4359 or emailing us at [email protected]

Other events due to take part during 1 in 100 include a comedy night, a national art exhibition, sponsored runs and swims, skydives, head and beard shaves, a garden fete and musical evenings.

Please do all you can to get behind this cause and make it an even bigger success than the 2015-16 1 in 100. We will do all we can to support and assist you with your fundraising and awareness raising efforts.
