NSF Aberdeen Carers Group The Aberdeen group was setup more than 30 years ago to provide support to carers of loved ones with mental health issues. The group is run by volunteers, a combination of carers and service users and we raise funds for the group ourselves. The group is very sociable as we generally try to organise an annual mini break to different locations around Scotland and have previously travelled as far as Blackpool. We plan social activities with day trips or bowling nights and on occasions a trip to the cinema with a meal afterwards. At the general meetings we discuss fund raising ideas and plan activities which include an annual sponsored walk and Christmas lunch. Service user meetings are held separately to discuss any issues or support that may be required or just for a general chat. Our Group meets 3rd Tuesday of every month 12-1pm at: Cornhill Hospital Clerkseat meeting room Cornhill Road Aberdeen AB25 2ZH If you would like to know more about our Aberdeen Support Group, please contact: Angie Milne, Chairperson.
