Development Officer Support in Mind Scotland Development Officer 35 Hours per Week £23, 232 per annum Funded to 31 March 2019 Mental Health UK is proud to have a range of corporate partners whom not only fundraise for us, but are also passionate about supporting us and cause in many other ways. One of our key priorities as we head towards our second birthday is to continue to maximise these benefits at a local level through volunteering, raising awareness of Mental Health UK and of the four charities which form Mental Health UK, building local connections and supporting fundraising. To achieve this four Development Officers (one based each founding charity of Mental Health UK) work closely with their colleagues across their nation to identify needs and respond to opportunities from our corporate partners. This post covers Scotland and the post holder will be employed by Support in Mind Scotland and will report to the Project Lead in Scotland. The post holder will work with Mental Health UK Account Managers and directly with corporate partners where necessary to understand and broker opportunities for staff to volunteer and aid the core business activities of the charity both Scotland-wide initiatives but also localised activities with particular teams. The post holder will also develop a wide range of internal relationships across Support in Mind Scotland to understand individual and collective needs to build programmes of volunteering and other support that corporate partners can easily respond to. The post holder should build their knowledge and understanding of Support in Mind Scotland, Mental Health UK and the corporate partners such that they are the ‘go to’ person for forging new relationships, volunteering and other opportunities. Our key corporate partners include Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Mail and Pizza Hut. The role requires travel across Scotland and occasional travel to London, Birmingham, Swansea and Belfast.
