Support in Mind Scotland is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee the strategic and operational development of our services in Fife and Tayside supporting people affected by serious mental health problems and mental illness.

We are a well-established national mental health charity providing support across Scotland with specific expertise in understanding and supporting individuals and families living with schizophrenia and psychosis. We have also been successful in securing new funding for national partnerships delivering support to people in distress and to people who are experiencing financial difficulties.

We require an experienced Manager who will be part of our National Management Team, and who will develop policy and strategy, as well as managing staff and resources. The service is moving towards registration and so applicants should be suitably qualified to manage a registered service or be willing to achieve the required standard within the timescale set by the SSSC.

Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to a rights-based approach to delivering support, and should have at least 5 years’ experience in a mental health role.
