£20,520 PRO RATA

Support in Mind Scotland is a national organisation aiming to improve the lives of anyone affected by serious mental health problems and mental illness and we are seeking a Carers Support Worker for our service in Glasgow, working across Glasgow City and Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board.

Our Glasgow carers’ service specialises in supporting carers of people with mental illness such as schizophrenia and psychosis, as well as all other mental illness.  Within this role a clear understanding of all carers issues is essential and a good working knowledge of Mental Health Care and Treatment Act 2005 is highly desirable as many carers within the service may need to be aware of specific legal issues.

The aim of this role is to provide information and support through a monthly support group, and one to one support for those in particular difficulty. This role will also involve working with the national fundraising and development staff to help to develop and extend the service.

The closing date for this post is 27th September 2017 and interviews will be held during week commencing 9th October.

CVs will not be considered.  If you'd like an application pack posted out or any more information call 0131 662 4359.
