Please note, during the Covid-19 outbreak our face-to-face groups are on hold. Please get in touch if you would like more information on how each service is operating at the moment.

Cothrom Centre (Meaning opportunity and equality in Gaelic) service is based adjacent to the Nevis Centre Fort William, and offers a welcoming environment for people experiencing mental ill health to access support from our trained and professional staff.

There are opportunities to participate in a variety of activities aimed at building self-esteem and confidence and promoting recovery. We support people to become more involved in their community in and around Fort William, by taking part in group work activities which we offer, such as our music and photography group.   This year we will have been offering support and working in the Lochaber area for over 25 years.

Our outreach service is based at Cothrom Centre but reaches out to people across the whole of the Lochaber area. This service offers intensive 1:1 support, by meeting people in their own homes, or externally in the community.

Both the resource centre and the outreach services welcome people referred by health professionals.

Duty of Candour

Duty of Candour is a legal requirement, part of the Health (Tobacco, Nicotine etc and Care) (Scotland) Act 2016, to ensure that if something goes wrong in the services all relevant information is shared with the people affected. They are offered an explanation, an apology and assurance that staff will learn from and share this learning if something goes wrong.
