Post: Mental Health and Money Advice Content Writer 

Location: Homeworking until restrictions are eased, then flexible working considered 

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: 17.5 hours per week 

Salary: £10,668 per annum (Pro rata for £21,336 per annum) 

Reporting to: Service Manager

About the Role 

Support in Mind Scotland have an exciting opportunity for someone to maintain and update the Scottish section of the Mental Health and Money Advice website. 

You would be joining our Mental Health and Money Advice Service, which provides clear, practical advice and support for people affected by mental health and money issues. 

In the newly created role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the benefit information on the Scottish Section of the website is accurate, up-to-date and accessible for people with mental illness as well as their families, carers, supporters and professionals. You will ensure that the website reflects key changes to the regulatory framework governing financial services and money advice in Scotland. You will also produce printed versions of this information.

Who are we looking for?  

The ideal candidate is someone with experience of producing high-quality, well-structured information online and in print and who has a good understanding of SEO. A working knowledge of welfare benefits may be an advantage. 

Good research skills, an ability to understand and interpret legislation and excellent writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to take complex information and present it in an accessible way are essential to this role.
