COLLEAGUES from Spire Global got together and raised more than £500 for Support in Mind Scotland by holding a Celtic v Rangers charity football match.

Employees from the Glasgow office decided to hold a family day, and together with friends and family they based the event round their own version of an Old Firm match.

Players all donated £10 each, with the losing team agreeing to double up on their payments.

Rangers prevailed on the day, but everyone was a winner.

David McPeake, who helped organise the match, said: "A few of us play football every Tuesday night and thought it would be a good idea to raise some money for good causes.

"We decided to split the teams into either Celtic or Rangers strips to add a little spice to the day.

"Luckily the rain stayed away for the match were we were cheered on by colleagues, friends and family. We finished the day with a home BBQ and beers."

Support in Mind Scotland would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the match and all those that the turned out to support the event.
