Support in Mind Scotland is delighted to announce that global sports chain Decathlon will be the headline sponsor of our 100 Streets Challenge this year.

The sports retailer, who have superstores at Hermiston Gait in Edinburgh and Braehead near Glasgow, have kindly chosen to support our annual mental health awareness and fundraising campaign in 2020, which encourages people to get physically active by walking, running or cycling 100 streets in their communities.

Support in Mind Scotland Ambassador and Scottish rugby legend Scott Hastings, who has helped lead the Challenge along with his wife and fellow ambassador Jenny since it was launched in 2016, said: "The 100 Streets Challenge goes from strength to strength each year and Decathlon's sponsorship will help get more people taking part in this fun, free event, which is a great way of improving well-being and staying fit."

Jenny Hastings added: "All of us at Support in Mind Scotland look forward to working with Decathlon and we appreciate their support for the 100 Streets Challenge, which looks like it will be even bigger and better in 2020."

Ben Hatton, Decathlon Scotland leader, also welcomed the partnership. He said: "We are proud to be working with such a partner Support in Mind Scotland and in particular the 100 Streets Challenge. Here at Decathlon we are obsessed with getting people in Scotland active through sports so they can feel the benefits. We hope our support of this event will do exactly that."

Support in Mind Scotland has exciting plans for the 100 Streets Challenge in 2020, including new bespoke medals (artist's impression below), ethically-sourced T-shirts sponsored by Decathlon, and the launch of a new digital App to help you plan your route and count your streets. We are also grateful to the JS Innes Charitable Trust for their continued support of the 100 Streets Challenge.

The 100 Streets Challenge will open on 1 April 2020 and runs until World Mental Health Day on 10 October. Registration is absolutely FREE and you can sign-up now by accessing the link here: https://www.supportinmindscotland.org.uk/forms/register-100-streets
