FRED the Travelling Ted has dreamed a dream and mixed with stars such as Susan Boyle, David Attenborough and Paddington Bear in a quest to visit 100 locations for Support In Mind Scotland’s 1 IN 100 Campaign.

Our intrepid bear has clocked up thousands of miles after being sent on his travels by staff, members and service users in Annan. Fred has kindly been sharing his holiday snaps from far and wide on the Support in Mind Scotland Annan Facebook page.

Our cuddly campaigner has already managed a sunshine Greek odyssey to the island of Zante, as well as trips to Dumfries, Bannockburn, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Keswick, and the Lead Mining museum, to name a few.

He has also scaled the heights of Blackpool Tower, and posed with Scotland’s singing sensation Susan Boyle and Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville as he rubbed shoulders with celebrities in Madam Tussauds wax museum.

Liz Paton, project co-ordinator and outreach support worker at Support in Mind Scotland in Annan, said: “We are trying to get to a hundred places and to collect badges of some of the places that he visits when we can. We have been taking pictures of each location and Fred has been to quite a few places already.”
