To sum up the scheme briefly, it refers to employees donating a certain amount of their pre-tax earnings to charity each month. It's very easy to set up by speaking to your work's payroll department and, as the money is taken before tax, every £1 donation essentially only costs 80p. For more information, The Institute of Fundraising have a comprehensive guide to Payroll Giving which can be found here.

Sign Up to the Drugstars App
Drugstars is an ingenious new application which sends notifications to remind users to take their medication, whilst rewarding charities at the same time. Every time a user confirms they've taken their medication for the day, they are given a star which can be donated to a charity of their choice. Each star equals 1p and this can soon build up! It's totally anonymous and you don't have to be taking medicine for a mental health condition. Visit the Drugstars site here and remember to choose Support in Mind as your nominated charity!
