Part Time Project Worker

17.5 hours a week (Monday and Wednesday project work, with some out of hours work expected)

Salary will start at: £9220.50 per annum

Based in Annan

Support in Mind Scotland provides support for people whose lives are seriously affected by mental health problems or illness. This can include people directly affected by mental illness, family members, friends and supporters.

Support in Mind Scotland is looking for a reliable, friendly, enthusiastic person, with excellent communication skills to join our Annan Team. This position will be based in Nursery Place Project in Annan.  The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 years’ experience working with people who have issues with mental ill health. They will have responsibility for co-ordinating the day to day running of the project. This includes group work, linking with community resources, multi-disciplinary working, and partnership working. Activities that increase confidence and inclusion that involve service users will be the main part of the role. Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible is essential. The post is line managed by the project manager.

The successful candidate should have experience of providing support to people whose Mental Health issues seriously affect their lives.  An SVQ3 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification) is desirable.
