Solas Project Manager


Salary: £24903 per annum

35 hours per week

Fixed term to June 2019

The Solas Project has pioneered an innovative approach to enabling recovery for people who are affected by mental illness and who are subject to Compulsory Measures (because, for example, of a history of offending) or whose medication is managed under a Compulsory Treatment Order. People in these circumstances often face great challenges in terms of bringing about change and better mental health in their lives. Having already run successfully for 4 years, and with Big Lottery Funding in place to May 2018, The Solas Project works with people in an intensive, structured and person-centred way in order to facilitate recovery.

We are seeking a dynamic and creative manager for the project, with a remit to lead the team and further develop its work in the Highlands.

Ideally the successful candidate will have: an SVQ4 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification), experience of recruiting, supervising and managing staff, and project management. Experience of working in the area of forensic Mental Health would be advantageous.
