Location:  Homeworking with a possibility of office-based work when Covid restrictions ease

Salary: £19,945 per annum (£24,932 FTE)

Hours:  28 hours per week (Part Time)

Contract: Fixed Term ending 31 March 2023 (Possibility of extension subject to continuous funding)

About the Role

Are you interested in joining an award-winning Scottish charity whose aim is to provide support to people whose lives are affected by mental ill-health? Support in Mind Scotland have an exciting opportunity in a new Suicide Bereavement Support Service for someone with a passion for making an impact in this key area of community support.

Support in Mind Scotland, in partnership with Penumbra, has been selected by the Scottish Government to lead an innovative project in the Highlands and in Ayrshire and Arran supporting people who have been bereaved by the suicide of a family member. Your role as Suicide Bereavement Support Project Manager will be to lead a newly-formed team providing this service in the Highland area. You will also work closely with your counterpart in Penumbra, as a key member of the management of the overall project, covering both the Highland area and Ayrshire and Arran. This is an opportunity to be part of the leadership of a dynamic and creative, joint-agency team that will provide vital support and potentially save lives.

We are seeking someone who has a good understanding of compassionate, person-centred, recovery-focussed support work, and who have experience of leading a team and of working autonomously.
