35 hours per week

Salary £31,062 pro rata per annum

Our Fife and Tayside services are moving into an exciting new phase of development, aiming to extend our support to both adults and young people across the regions who are affected by serious mental health problems and mental illness, including family members, supporters and carers.

We are seeking a new Area Manager to lead this development, including enabling us to move to being registered with the Care Inspectorate for new work in each area.  The successful person will, above all, be values-based, with empathy and understanding for people affected by mental health problems, and will be dedicated to taking a rights-based approach to their work.

You will be a skilled communicator, and have experience of managing projects or services, with an approach that demonstrates leadership and the ability to motivate and inspire others. You will also be able to show a commitment to quality improvement, an ability to organise and prioritise workloads, and experience of developing and implementing effective organisational policies and procedures.

This role is based in Fife but covers both Fife and Tayside, so travelling across the area is essential, as is travelling monthly to Edinburgh for national meetings.

Closing date is July 7th at 12 noon and interviews will be held on July 11th when a presentation will be expected – details will be included in the application pack.

CVs will not be considered. Full application details are available on our website: or please contact Liz Mackay, (Office Supervisor) on 0131 662 4359 or email [email protected].
